Comforits works great on my lab mixed dog. The only problem with it is that the pill is too big. I have to break it up into 2 or 3 pieces and give it to him thru out the day, otherwise he gets sick and vomits not long after I give him the pill. It helps to give him the small portions with something to eat. I almost stopped using it, but it really keeps the fleas away. I moved from place where the climate changes to a place where the fleas never die. My Pom Sasha never had trouble with fleas and i never had to use anything to keep them off of her. We moved down south and oh my gosh she has been infested with them and nothing works. I used this flea pill and wow to my surprise 30-40 minutes later the fleas were just dropping off of her dead. It was worth every penny I paid for it. The topical solutions are not solutions at all - none have worked for either my cat or dog. I have been using Comfortis for the past 3 years and I am extremely pleased with the results. If you want something that is effective, this is it. It is more expensive than the topical products, but if the topical products don't work, why buy them?! I highly recommend Comfortis and will continue to use it in both of my animals. I took my dog to my vet for itching . He gave me this tablet to give to him and within 30 mintues I found little dead fleas all over his coat. One tablet last for a month so the price is worth it. Im looking to buy it more then the droplets and flea collars which are not as effective as this tablet. I do must say one side effect it cause is itching extremely but it is because of the dead fleas not an allergic reaction. So if ur dog itches afterward it is ok it means the product is working like it should. My Shar-pei/Lab mix has flea allergies, but what dog doesn't? Comfortis is strong on her stomach so I have to be sure she eats well before I give it to her. She doesn't scratch anymore while taking comfortis and I notice her coat and skin seem to look much better! They say the tabs are chewable but she won't touch it due to the high chemical smell of the tablet. I wrap cheese around it and she swallows it whole ;) . I cannot give this medication to her along with a heartworm medicine because it makes her nauseous so I space them apart by a week or so. She has been on this for over a year and I am very pleased!
